A Compound bow is made up of cables, pulleys, and eccentric cams to bend its limbs. Compared to the other bows, the limbs of the compound bow is stiffer, hence, it is more efficient. However, this kind of bow is heavier compared to the other bows, hence to be able to use it efficiently, the archer uses a device or a tool called an overdraw. An overdraw is an apparatus that is placed or bolted between the riser and the string where the arrow can rest before it will be released by the archer to hit its target. This overdraw apparatus is used to increase the speed of the arrow.
